I love this idea and recently wrote about this general tragedy that physicians systematically don’t have enough time for science. But I’d love to figure out a world in which we have a scalable and economically viable path to allow scientists to work more translationally in the way you suggest?

Great article, Becca! I have a PhD in molecular biology and, through molecular tumor boards, I support medical oncologists in making therapeutic decisions for complex cancer cases. Our expertise in molecular testing (NGS sequencing), oncogenes, and signaling pathways helps inform treatment decisions.

This is a great idea, Becca! Definitely seems possible. Keep talking about it!

Thank you, Kim! If I were ever to put together a firm, I could see the immense benefits of including a nutrition educationalist on the team as well. We have so much information to share with patients, and few methods to facillitate, educate, and help chronic illness patients feel better.
